Kyle Michaud, a natural-born entrepreneur and President of Experience Expositions, is creating a platform for sustainable and health-conscious companies to connect with consumers. His vision is to make a green-lifestyle possible for everyday people, by educating them on environmentally-friendly options that are available in their local community.

After experiencing overwhelming interest from the yoga community, and completing the Yoga Teacher Training, Kyle founded The Yoga Expo, which is scheduled for several North American cities in 2016-2017. The Yoga Expo has attracted over 22,000 attendees so far in 2016, and Kyle plans to keep expanding and progressing the event.

More recently, Kyle established Experience Expositions, which includes The Yoga Expo, South Florida VegFest, and Women Empower Expo. All of these vegan events share the mission of bringing the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle to the masses. We caught up with Kyle Michaud to learn more about how a 26-year-old has been able to launch a large-scale Yoga conference.

Describe Yoga Expo and why you decided to produce health- conscious related conferences.

The Yoga Expo is an all-day yoga event featuring over 80 teachers and 100+ exhibitor booths and vendors. I wanted to offer attendees the opportunity to sample a variety of yoga styles, teachers and studios. My passion for health and wellness was born out of a desire to contribute more to the people and places that have made me who I am.

What were some of your barriers to entry when launching such a large-scale conference?

Producing my first expo was nerve wracking! I didn’t know the lingo, or process to produce such an event. I am very thankful for the staff that helped our team grow! The first event I ever produced was such a hit, I went on to produce 13 more that year in cities across North America.

What has been the response from your community?

The yoga teachers and students alike LOVE our model! Teachers lead classes with over 200 students and our attendees get to practice with yoga teachers that they would not have met otherwise. Vendors reach their target demographic and meet other businesses in their industry.

What would you like to see happen for your brand in 2017 and how can MiLLENNiAL readers support that vision?

In 2017 I am producing 3 events: Women Empower Expo, VegFest, and The Yoga Expo. I would like to see more consumers attend our events and learn about products, services and people in our communities that are working to make a difference.
