Russell Ward QuoteAt the age of nine, Russell Ward was renting out his baseball equipment at recess. By the time he entered college, he had transformed the slowest day of a local cafe into an open mic night- earning the highest one day revenue in the shop’s 25-year history. Upon graduating, he had created an online gambling hedge fund that managed millions of dollars of international capital.

Now at 33, Russell is the founder and owner of The Confluence, a creative media house focused on publicity and content strategy. Having worked with some of the most recognizable and iconic brands of our time – Intel, Pepsi, GoPro, Budweiser, Target, and GE to name a few, The Confluence is also home to The Do LaB, Turntable.fm, the Lucent Dossier Experience, Diesel, Flaunt Magazine, and Bebe.

Though now flanked by big brands in an array of industries, The Confluence has its roots within the music festival industry. With roles as publicist and filmmaker for festivals such as Lightning in a Bottle, Shambhala, Decibel, and Symbiosis, The Confluence also manages leading national and international campaigns for Coachella, SXSW and EDC.

When he’s not pursuing big and small ways to change the game, Russell loves to travel, cook, and practice yoga.
