Lavender (Lavandula)
The romantic and calming smell combined with the healing properties of Lavender prove to be a wonderful addition to any garden. The Lavender plant is an item every gardner succumbs to grow sooner or later. Its tolerance to many growing conditions make it an easy addition to any landscape. It is extremely drought resistant and thrives in dry, warm weather. Set them 12-18 inches apart in well-drained soil in an open area with full sun. Once the buds start to show new growth, prune lightly to promote branching.
