Karen Martinez: Videographer
Karen Martinez is a film enthusiast and former dancer. After graduating from the University of Houston in 2012 with a B.A. in media production, Karen retired from dance to create part of MECA Jr. Dance Company alongside Armando Silva. She later discovered a profound passion for the world of video.
Joining the organization, Voices Breaking Boundaries, in 2013 Karen works as a production manager, creating short documentary films that help to examine social issues throughout the Houston area. She is currently working in association with Baker Ripley in Gulfton to help bring awareness to young and struggling skateboarders in need of a skate park in their community.
