Lighthouse of the Week: Nubble

New England’s coastline is known for its collection of picturesque lighthouses. The Nubble lighthouse is particularly beautiful as it is set on its own rocky island. Although it is inaccessible to visitors, it is close enough to York Beach’s shore to achieve a postcard like photograph. Its beacon of light has been shimmering across the deep blue Atlantic ocean since July 1, 1879.
