Cocktail of the Week: Mai Tai
A popular rum and fruit juice drink associated with Tiki style restaurants, the Mai Tai was created in Oakland, California in 1944 by Victor J. Bergeron, the owner of Trader Vic’s Restaurant. The name is from the Tahitian phrase “Maita’i roa ae” which means “out of this world, the best”.
