Attending The 2015 Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival? Where’s The Drop?
Electronic music fans were in heaven as the 8th installment of the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival (BEMF) dominated the New York house scene during the Nov. 5-8 weekend. Taking over nine of Williamburg’s best dance floors, the BEMF furthered their legacy by showcasing emerging local talent as well as some of the underground’s favorite global leaders.
Headliners included Django Django, Armand van Helden, Soul Clap, and Floating Points (accompanied with a 12-piece band) among 62 other artists. The sounds were just as diverse as the attendees, proving the electronic music scene has expanded to include genres you never knew existed.
With everything from house, tech-house, and deep house to big room, electronic jam bands, and hypnotic beats you’d expect from Dessa, BEMF covered all bases within the industry and at all hours too. Some days started with breakfast tunes and took you all throughout the night until the sunrise …just to start the process all over again.
It was a successful weekend of sorts as hordes of New Yorkers made their way through the sweaty music laden streets of Brooklyn. To learn more about the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival, visit the official website.
