Paul Moore: Program Officer
Paul Moore sees obstacles not as challenges, but as opportunities. He attributes his career success to his optimistic can-do attitude. As an undergrad with no place to live, Paul slept on his sister’s floor for a year to put himself through college. While working full time, he earned a BS in Finance from CSUN, and a MBA from USC.
He started as an administrator for technology entrepreneur and philanthropist David Bohnett, and 14 years later, is now the Program Officer at the David Bohnett Foundation, one of the largest social justice funders in the country supporting LGBT causes and gun violence prevention. Paul also acts as an advisor in Mr. Bohnett’s private equity firm. His chief responsibility is the David Bohnett CyberCenter program, serving the LGBT community at over 60 locations nationwide. He knows firsthand how these services can be a lifeline.
As a result of his achievements, Paul was voted onto to the Board of Directors of CenterLink, a national association of LGBT community centers. The position has made him one of the most influential LGBT leaders under 40. Recently, he was invited to The White House to talk about LGBT health issues.
