Red Rose- Millennial

Flower of the Week: Red Rose

The red rose has been in existence for millions of years, and can be found in ancient civilizations including the Greeks, Romans, and Persians. Over time, they have become more colorful, fragrant, and hearty.

Although roses come in a wide variety of colors, bright red and deep burgandy roses are most often given as a sign of love and passion, respect, and courage. The quantity can also have a special meaning. A single red rose shows love, a dozen shows gratitude, twenty-five shows congratulations and fifty show unconditional love. Tied together, they represent an engagement.

Other symbolisms of red roses are based on the shade. Bright red means love, burgundy states unconsious love, and dark crimson reflects mourning. A wilted rose indicates that love is over, and a single rosebud symbolizes youthful love and beauty.

Most importantly, a red rose is an ideal gift to give your special Millennial on Valentine’s Day.
