Written by Lois Lowry and published in 1993, the story follows a 13-year old boy named Jonas in a seemingly utopian society that has cured pain and sadness. If you forget how it ends, pick up a copy now and enjoy the trip!

The Giver was recently adapted into a film, starring Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep. Catch it at a theatre now and compare it to the coveted epic of your youth.
