Born a world traveler and raised in a military family, Traci Propst is an American TV personality and published author. She has hosted webisodes for Afterbuzz TV, CBS owned TV Guide.com, and Ion Media Network. Now, Traci is the author of “The Millennial Hustle: Life Through the Eyes of a Millennial”, which recently published in June 2016.

In her new book, Traci breaks down the Millennial generation as a whole. She confronts an array of topics like education, religion, dating, marriage and technology as she incorporates life experiences from her peers, other successful leaders and also her own story as a Millennial.

While Traci’s book is applicable for all Millennials, her main focus is on Millennial women going through an identity crisis. Traci feels she relates to most 20 and 30-something women who are pursuing their dreams in life and going against the societal current of “ordinary and expected”.

She wants them to uphold their ambitions and work towards making them happen. In our society, Millennial women can be under-represented so Traci is using her strong voice to speak out and make sure they are embodied adequately.

Traci strongly believes that Millennials in general will lay the foundation for something spectacular once they embrace all the reasons why they do things differently than previous generations.

When you were a child, did you wish for the career and for the life that you have manifested today?

It’s funny, most children dream of having the world, being whatever their heart desires! As a young girl, I actually wished to be Amish when I grew up. The thought of living a very “simple life” by candlelight always seemed romantic to me. However, as I got older my wants and wishes for myself changed (more so than just the desire for electricity). I realized the power women in our generation held and I was going to be a part of it. I wanted to be impactful, I wanted people to see me in a positive light and I wanted to make a difference in my peers lives. I continue to manifest this on a daily basis.

What is your mission?

My mission is to inspire women to find the courage to follow their dreams and desires by overcoming their fear. I feel like so many of us are held back from fear, but once we understand fear is our mind’s greatest trick than we can transform our entire life!

What is your personal thought on Millennials?

I love my Millennials!  Despite what others may say, Millennial’s shift in life decisions are becoming the “new norm” and it is time to embrace it! I believe Millennials are going to make the greatest impact on the world. They are sharp, tech-savvy, and extremely creative individuals.

What does it mean to you as an entrepreneur to have a mission today?

To have a mission as an entrepreneur today feels empowering. There is so much possibility at our fingertips that there is no need to make excuses. It makes pursuing your mission not only possible, but practical!

What does it mean to you to empower women?

I feel empowering women is a huge part of my mission! Many women hold back when it comes to pursuing a life they desire because of all the worldly projections imposed on us. It blows me away that we’re still being told we need to choose between a family and career when that simply isn’t the case. Women are magical creatures and we need to stand up for ourselves and demand people give us the credit we deserve. We can do it all!

Name a wish for humanity that finally came true.

Although it happened before my time; the abolishment of slavery in the United States. I have been positively impacted by so many people of different colors and races in my life that I cannot imagine growing up in a time where that was prohibited.

What is your fashion mantra?

The color black. Period. I think it is the most timeless color and makes everything else you add as an accessory – pop. I definitely have a modest, classic style.

What is your final message for our readers?

Most importantly, be kind to one another, but also, be kind and understanding towards yourself. You are always a work in progress. Making mistakes is never the problem, it’s all about being reflective and turning any mistake into a positive action in the future. Isn’t that the point of life? Learning and growing.

Kindness and action are the only ways we are going to be able to save the world!
