College is one of the transition points in life where you go from being a kid to being an adult. Whether your choice is a gravity bong with friends or chilling out at the gym sauna, you need a vice. Reading can take your mind off of what you’re doing in your college day. Sinking into a good book can take your mind away from how busy things are. Make sure that you choose a book not on your reading list so that you can truly escape.

Get together with your friends and hangout. It doesn’t have to be anything exciting: a Netflix night works well, and you can chill out and laugh for a while. College is so hectic that time out of it all to vent with friends can really help!
#3 – Recreation
Get away from the campus for the day. Head to a museum and go and explore the town in which you now live. Your college is going to be interesting, but the local area is a new one to explore and you can shake off the cobwebs and get out.
#4 – Exercise
Going for a workout is one of the best ways that you can relax. It sounds counterproductive, but the stress you are under being burnt off in a workout can be a great way to feel good. It’s never easy to feel stressed, so it’s important to figure out ways to burn it off.
#5 – Find a Passtime
Don’t let go of your hobbies while you are in college. It’s important to keep going with the things that make you smile and give you a way to release some study tension.
#6 – Be in Nature
Walking and finding walking routes to hike on can really be a great way to relax in college. When you spend so much time cooped up in libraries and study groups, the best thing that you can do is to get out into the air and breathe it in. You may also find others with a similar interest in hiking when you are out, and you can then go and join a walking group, too.
