When looking at the Barcelona skyline, it’s hard not to notice the W Hotel setting sail against the glittering ocean backdrop. This seaside paradise is home to one of the city’s most famed beach clubs and pool decks overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean.

This beachfront bistro is a perfect lunchtime escape for those looking for a sophisticated spin on a home-cooked meal. From the wicker patio seating to the jewel toned sea glass place settings, SALT invites beach-goers to relax in the Spanish sun with a delicious cocktail in one hand and a snack in the other.
MiLLENNiAL had the pleasure of experiencing the menu first hand while gazing out at the colorful European culture.
The Famous SALT Burgers
As a seasonal restaurant, SALT is unique in that it is only open during the warmer months – April to September – and crafts one menu per year. This year Chef Jakob Esko tells us, “We want to create the best burgers possible.”
Known for their gourmet burgers, the meat is ground fresh daily using Spain’s highest quality Iberian beef. From the classic 300g SALT Icon to the Smokehouse BBQ, each burger comes on a toasted brioche and is served with hand made French fries.
But the true stars of the menu aren’t the burgers, but rather the appetizers. The salmon skewers served on a bed of stir-fried veggies drizzled with a coconut curry sauce stole the show. Bite after bite of perfection, the salmon had just the right amount of char and was complimented beautifully by the sauce.
The braised pork ribs were also impressive. Using an oregano spice rub, the meat is slow cooked for over 20 hours, making it melt off the bone once it hits the table.
With a view of Barcelona’s beauty from every table and an refined beach bar menu, SALT is a comforting stop for lunch when you’re revving up for a day on the sand.
