Xavier Cross: Wood Carver

Xavier Cross is a US Marine veteran, avid artist, and thrill-seeker extraordinaire. After serving in the military, Xavier was the victim of a horrible car accident which rendered his legs paralyzed. While recovering in Michigan, his friends in Los Angeles threw a party in his honor to raise money for a stem cell procedure that would restore his ability to walk. Overwhelmed with gratitude and surrounded by an abundance of lumber, Xavier decided to make wood-carved gifts for his friends. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a passionate obsession which led to an operational career with some of Xavier’s pieces now selling for thousands of dollars.

I have a passion for living in the moment. As a photographer I capture life the way my heart sees it. Capturing these moments in an authentic and genuine nature is what I strive for. Whether it be the minute details or a broad overview, I try to emphasize the natural beauty and emotional substance of a moment.
