Gourmet Burger of the Week: Grilled Black Bean Burgers
Grilled black bean burgers are meat-free, easy to make, and will satisfy any hunger level.
Ingredients:
1 can black beans
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
1/2 chopped onion
3 minced garlic cloves
1 egg
1 tbs chili powder
1 tbs cumin
1 tsp sriracha
1/2 c. bread crumbs.
Directions: Fire up the Grill. In a medium bowl, mash beans then add chopped veggies, mix together. In a separate small bowl combine spices and egg. Stir the spicy egg mixture in with mashed beans and minced veggies, Mix in bread crumbs. Divide into 4 patties. Place patties on foil, grill 8 minutes on each side. Grilled black bean burgers are spicy and pair well with traditional lettuce and tomato topped off with homemade mango avocado salsa.
