Valerie Halfon: Personal Shopper

Back in 2010, Valerie Halfon’s cousin Melissa was in a bind. She wanted to buy her friend an afternoon with a personal shopper for her birthday, but quickly realized she couldn’t afford the steep rates. Knowing her very fashion-forward cousin, Valerie, could shop with ease for hours and knew how to dress to impress without breaking the bank, Melissa offered to hire her for the day.

Valerie graciously accepted and realized her talent for dressing others while spending time with Melissa’s friend. Not only was the experience fulfilling, but she witnessed this young woman’s transformation from feeling insecure to confidently wearing her new pieces. In that moment, Valerie knew this was her calling. Shortly thereafter, Shop with Val, was born.

For those who need wardrobe and styling assistance, but can’t quite afford to hire someone to do the shopping for them, Valerie prides herself on being the perfect in between assistant. She carefully selects pieces that suit personality, style, and body type, while crafting a wardrobe that looks like a million bucks.

Shop with Val currently has over 150 clients, catering to both men and women of all ages, sizes and budgets. Her clients range from being in the NY area to over 16 countries.
