Having featured renowned artists such as George Benson, Candy Dulfer, David Sanborn, Chaka Khan, Oscar d’Leon, Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Prince Royce, Grupo Niche, Earth, Wind and Fire Experience and Kool and the Gang, each year’s lineup is eagerly awaited, and this year is no exception. With all the info now released, here’s everything you need to know about CSJF 2018.

Where and when does the Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival take place?

The Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival is based at the Renaissance Festival Plaza in the beautiful seaside city of Oranjestad, Aruba. It runs during the last week of September from Friday 21st to Saturday 22nd. Musicians of the CSJF also hold warm-up concerts in the four days preceding, so if you can make the time to head down to Aruba earlier then do. The earlier events are held at more intimate local venues, where you may be able to get more up close and personal with your favourite artists.

Who’s playing?

This year’s CSJF promises an impressive lineup of international and local jazz, Latin, soul and funk musicians, spread over two outdoor stages and one indoor. Featuring music from the iconic Sister Sledge to jazz-fusion quartet the Yellowjackets; from the all-female orchestra Anacaona to the Bonairean folk Rincon boys; there is an eclectic variety to suit everybody. If you’re a fan of funky soul jazz then don’t miss Di Mongo, an energetic foursome who set crowds on fire with their melodic genius.

Especially if you are traveling from afar, take this opportunity to really get to know Aruba and the surrounding Caribbean island destinations.
