After 17 months of wedding planning, spreadsheets, and vendor emails, my fiancé and I were very much looking forward to our honeymoon. 10 blissful days beachside in Hawaii, starting on the island of Oahu. Although there are plenty of hotels and properties to stay at, I was lucky enough to be invited by the Four Seasons Oahu Resort at Ko Olina to stay at their property. Although the stay was hosted by the resort, all editorial opinions are my own.

After snagging our rental car from the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), we had about a 45-60 minute drive to the hotel. The drive time depends on traffic, and for a Monday afternoon, we encountered a lot of traffic, which was not ideal as we were ready to get our honeymoon started. However, the minute we stepped onto the property, we knew we had made the right decision.

This Four Seasons Oahu review is part of the 2026 luxury travel guide, our living atlas of the world’s most considered places to stay.

The Property

The property sits within Ko Olina, a 642-acre master-planned community along Oahu’s untamed western coastline. The west side of Oahu is actually the quieter side of the island, delivering an immediate sense of rest and relaxation as soon as you arrive.

One of the things I enjoyed most about our stay was that we did not have to decide between a beachfront or oceanview hotel because with this property, you get both. The hotel grounds occupy 17 oceanfront acres, meaning the property directly borders the ocean without any buildings or roads separating it from the pristine waters of the Pacific. What is even better, though, is that the resort rests directly on a white-sand beach and connects to one of the tranquil, protected Ko Olina lagoons, which is shared with Disney’s property, the Aulani.

The hotel sits beside one of Ko Olina’s four vibrant lagoons, with eight distinct dining venues and four different pools. Couples and honeymooners will fall in love with this property, including its lineup of activities for couples. Solo travelers and even families will enjoy all of the offerings that this resort has for guests. Between the property’s Naupaka Spa & Wellness Centre and a robust lineup of immersive programming, to the restaurant’s award-winning chefs and local fish sommeliers (yep, they’re a thing), there is plenty to do, eat, and see here.

The Rooms: Waking Up in Paradise

When booking a room, you have the option to reserve a standard room, a partial ocean view, or a full ocean view, so depending on what you have in mind, you have a variety of rooms to choose from.

Our Club Oceanfront Room included a large balcony that came with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Off in the distance, we had mountains to our right, and in front of us, we had nothing but bright blue ocean waters and waves hitting the shore down below. You could actually hear the waves from bed.

Traveler Tip: The Club Rooms & Suites were recently renovated, and the property added a new Club Lounge last year, which is the largest in the Four Seasons portfolio. Impressive, right?

I am a professional travel and wellness writer, so I have stayed at a lot of hotels, properties, and resorts around the world, and this bed was by far the best bed I have ever slept in. From the comfy comforter to the plush pillows, this king bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Every night, I hit the pillow and immediately drifted off to dreamland with complete and utter ease. This never happens to me, so the fact that I got a good night’s sleep every night sleeping here makes me want to book again. (And also buy a Four Seasons bed for my own home).

A couple of my favorite features from our oceanfront room were the lei hooks by the door, one for his and one for hers. Also, the brightly colored beach bag provided in each room was a nice touch, especially because many travelers may not think to pack a beach bag for the beach or pool. It was a little detail like this that made our stay feel extra luxe. Plus, it was super cute, so I definitely loved the collaboration with Lola Pillar here.

The Adults-Only Pool: Infinite Views of the Pacific

The Four Seasons Oahu Resort at Ko Olina includes four different pools: the adults-only infinity pool, the Keiki pool, the Ohana pool, and the spa & wellness pool, which is perfect for swimming laps, but our favorite spot by far was the adults-only infinity pool. This quiet retreat is nestled on the western side of the resort and overlooks the waters of the Pacific. This pool makes this property ideal for a couple’s getaway. It feels secluded yet is a short walk away from everything.

When you first check in at the front desk, you will be escorted to the lounge chairs and umbrellas of your choosing. Once the team gets you settled in with chair covers and beach towels, you can sit back and relax and take in the gorgeous sights of the Pacific Ocean right in front of you. A small detail that is a very nice touch is the provided sunscreen. Choose from SPF30 or SPF50 and cooling gel in case the Hawaiian sun gets the best of you.

Traveler Tip: All of Hawaii requires reef-safe sunscreen, so if you are unsure about the brand of sunscreen you packed, opt for the sunscreen provided by the hotel instead.

The pool is heated to the perfect temperature. Not too cold, but just cool enough to be refreshing. There is also plenty of space, so you do not have to worry about bumping into anyone else. Take in the expansive ocean sights on the infinity wall, swim a few laps, or get those aquatic steps in as you sip on a drink.

Speaking of beverages, order beverages or bites off the Waterman Bar menu, or sample some passed snacks delivered by staff members right to your lounge chair. Whether it was a taste of the smoothie of the day or chocolate-covered pretzels for a sweet and salty poolside treat, the daily samples tasted delicious. This adults-only pool was by far my favorite pool I have ever experienced out of all my travels. If you are looking for a honeymoon resort, the property, rooms, and pool of this hotel make this a top contender, but that’s not all this hotel has to offer.

Dining is at the heart of the Four Seasons Resort Oahu experience. “Across eight restaurants and bars, guests embark on a culinary journey,” shares Jason de Vries, general manager of Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina. “The breadth of offerings allows guests to discover a taste of something new each day, while celebrating the exceptional ingredients, cultural influences, and sense of place that define Hawaii’s vibrant food scene.”

The Restaurants and Bars: Delicious Bites and Ocean Sights

Mānalo Lounge

As if this resort could not get any better, now we have the food portion of our honeymoon stay. On our first night, we had dinner reservations at the Mānalo Lounge, which serves up Asian-fusion and sushi. This restaurant is usually known for its epic sunsets, but unfortunately, it was raining the day we arrived, so instead of experiencing the outdoor atmosphere that usually accompanies a table here, we had to move indoors, but that did not detract from the delicious bites.

We ordered the chicken skewers for a shared appetizer, then I ordered the Sunset Sushi Roll for a starter, while my husband had the Pork Belly. For entrees, I ordered the Miso Yuzu Black Cod, and my husband had the Snake River Farms Wagyu NY Strip. The portions were plentiful, and the dishes were some of the best I have ever eaten.

The black cod was a dish we had at our wedding, so it was very fitting to kick the honeymoon off with a nod back to our wedding day. The buttery texture of this white fish melted in my mouth. The Wagyu beef was also seared to perfection, and though I was so full from our appetizers and starters, I could not help but keep taking portions from my husband’s plate for my own. This beachfront restaurant is five stars in my book and was our favorite restaurant on the entire property. Definitely make a reservation here. We were still talking about it even five days later when we checked out.

Mina’s Fish House

For our second night, we booked a table at Mina’s Fish House, home to James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Mina. This ocean-view seafood restaurant presents a refined approach to line-to-table seafood and coastal cuisine. With panoramic ocean views, this oceanfront setting has a seafood focus and signature dishes that create a family-friendly dinner option even for larger parties. I am not a fan of Spam, but I had to try one of their signature side dishes, the Spam Fried Rice, complete with a sunny-side-up egg. Chef’s kiss!

Noe

On our third night, we had dinner at Noe restaurant. This Southern Italian restaurant gives guests a taste of the Italian coastline by way of the Pacific. Through handmade pastas, fresh seafood, and traditional signature dishes like the Noe Tagliatelle and Whipped Ricotta, this spot offers guests a dining experience that feels timeless yet effortlessly indulgent. The garden-view setting strung under a slew of twinkle lights creates an inviting and warm atmosphere that is subtly romantic, making it the perfect date night spot for couples and honeymooners staying at this property. If you sit outside, the bugs can be a little annoying, but the restaurant provides table fans to try to keep them away.

La Hiki

Besides dinner, there are also spots for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Every morning, we dined at La Hiki for its famous La Hiki brunch. Its menus feature plant-forward options and local ingredients with fresh produce from nearby island farms. They also offer à la carte breakfast options as well as lunch selections, but we opted for the daily breakfast buffet, which I highly recommend.

Start with a tropical mimosa and don’t just go with orange juice, although a classic choice. Try guava, hibiscus, lilikoi, pineapple, or watermelon. Whatever you can imagine, they had it all, and they were all very good. If you cannot decide, go with POG, which is a tropical combination of pineapple, orange, and guava juices.

Although we opted for the brunch buffet every morning, I always ordered the local papaya served with lime slices and roasted coconut flakes. The papaya was the perfect size and could be a meal all on its own. I also grabbed a large French-pressed Kona coffee to go. Ya’ll, I gave up coffee eight years ago, but when you are in Hawaii on your honeymoon with French-pressed 100% Kona coffee at your fingertips, you do not say no. It is your moral imperative to order one. It also goes great with an after-brunch walk along the Oahu oceanfront walking path, conveniently located steps away from La Hiki.

As for lunch, we pulled up a chair and a high boy at Waterman Bar, which serves up Hawaiian-inspired casual bites and sips. You can also order from their menu if you are hanging out at the adults-only pool. With a nod to vintage Hawaii and Oahu’s iconic surf culture, this spot is located right along the Ohana Pool and is the perfect place to catch a game while you enjoy dining al fresco.

This property also offers up three other dining venues: Dr. Mai Tai’s, a swim-up bar conveniently located in the adults-only pool, Hokulea coffee bar, perfect for grab-and-go coffee, pastry items, and lunch sandwiches, and lastly, the five | one | six rooftop bar and lounge for cocktails. This spot relaunched in the summer of 2025, so it is still pretty new!

The Four Seasons Spa: A Jungle Oasis

After a busy wedding season, I wanted to really relax, and although this resort was the perfect spot for just that, I was really looking forward to my spa appointment. I was lucky enough to experience the Makai Ocean Essence, which is a rejuvenating seaweed wrap using two types of seaweed. It helps to detoxify the skin, stimulates blood flow and lymphatic flow, improves skin tone and promotes cell renewal. This spa service also includes some exfoliation as well as a scalp massage. This was definitely one of those Hawaii luxury experiences that left me feeling revitalized, but it did not end there.

After my treatment, I did something I have never done before: I stayed and enjoyed the spa facilities. After my treatment, a staff member led me outdoors to a jungle oasis complete with Buddha statues, trickling water fountains, and individual lounge chairs, all surrounded by the lush tropical forest. As if it could not get any better, I was also treated to a glass of champagne and a square of dark chocolate. If you book a service or two at the spa, I highly encourage you to stay and soak in the service you just received by taking a moment for yourself. After all, wedding planning is hard, and after months or even years of planning, it is important for you to take a minute for yourself and relax.

Wellness Beyond the Spa

A Beachfront Walking Path

Beyond the spa lie even more wellness options outside of the treatment rooms, my favorite being the beachfront path. Whether you prefer a sunrise run or a sunset walk, this walking path connects all of the neighboring lagoons at the other surrounding properties and is a great way to see Ko Olina’s other lagoons. Remember that Kona coffee I mentioned before? This is the perfect spot to enjoy it as you take the opportunity to sip and savor this beautiful walking path.

Indoor Outdoor Gym

The rooftop gym happens to be both indoor and outdoor. It is pretty incredible. From cardio machines to dumbbells and weight machines, it has everything you need to keep up your routine while traveling, including group yoga classes. Rooftop yoga in Hawaii? Sign me up! With views of the nearby mountains and the ocean, there is no better place to practice gratitude and some sun salutations.

Pickleball Lessons

The open-air gym not only provides a rooftop wellness experience, but it also has rooftop basketball courts, tennis courts, and pickleball courts. Play at your leisure or enjoy a private pickleball lesson with an Italian tennis professional, who just so happens to also teach pickleball. Game. Set. Match.

Sound Bath

A very unique wellness experience that is also offered at this property is a sound bath, but not just any sound bath. I have experienced many sound baths before, but this sound bath takes place inside the property’s chapel, making for a very magical and memorable experience. The acoustics of the chapel add to the already incredible dings and dongs of the gongs, which can almost guarantee a blissful hour of relaxation and rest. You may even fall asleep, as some guests did.

Once you open your eyes, you will set your sights on the sun shining through the stained glass windows as it sinks lower in the sky, setting behind the ocean, inviting you to take a dip in the lagoon. If you are looking for some more luxury experiences, then take a look at the hotel’s wellness offerings because you are bound to find something you can enjoy. Whether traveling in a couple, with family members, or solo.

Traveler Tip: The property is hosting its Summer Wellness Series now through August of 2026, in case you want to experience more wellness opportunities.

Ko Olina Resort: Is It Really Worth It?

Alright, so the real question remains: is the Four Seasons Oahu Resort at Ko Olina really worth the stay? In short, yes. I think that this property is great for couples and honeymooners, especially if you are looking for a romantic hotel. The best part of our honeymoon wasn’t any single meal, spa treatment, or ocean view. It was how effortlessly the property created space for us to simply enjoy being together while we celebrated the start of our new chapter together as husband and wife.

“There is an undeniable romance to Ko Olina, where dramatic mountain landscapes meet serene, crystal-clear lagoons,” says de Vries. “At Four Seasons Resort Oahu, we enhance that feeling through experiences thoughtfully designed to bring couples closer together. From private celestial sails beneath the stars to transformative sound healing sessions with our ancestral energy practitioner, every touchpoint is crafted to inspire connection and create lasting memories.”

However, it is an investment. We were lucky enough to stay for five days and four nights, but if you needed to cut your stay short, I would say you could get by with three days and two nights, though you will never want to leave!

Whether you’re celebrating a honeymoon, a family vacation, or a solo getaway, the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina delivers the kind of luxury that feels meaningful. Long after the tan fades, it is the feeling of being there that stays with you. It is upon checking out that you really come to understand the meaning of a Hawaiian phrase that you hear uttered quite often across the property, “Mahalo.” At its core, Mahalo is viewed as a form of blessing. It signifies living in thankfulness and acknowledging life’s abundant blessings, so to everyone at the Four Seasons Oahu at Ko Olina, Mahalo.

FAQs

Is Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina worth it for a honeymoon?

Absolutely! We spent our honeymoon here and the property delivered. Between the oceanfront views, the adults-only infinity pool, the spa, and date-night dinners at Noe and Mānalo Lounge, it made the whole trip feel effortless. That’s exactly what you want on a honeymoon.

Which side of Oahu is the Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina located on?

It’s on Oahu’s western coast, in the Ko Olina resort community (the quieter side of the island). Calm lagoons, gorgeous sunsets, and a much more laid-back feel than Waikiki, which is exactly why we loved it for a honeymoon.

Does Four Seasons Oahu Resort at Ko Olina have an adults-only pool?

Yes, and it was hands-down our favorite spot on the property. The adults-only infinity pool overlooks the Pacific and stays quiet, and they bring smoothie samples and chocolate-covered pretzels right to your chair.

What are the best restaurants at Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina?

Mānalo Lounge was our favorite. The Miso Yuzu Black Cod alone is worth a reservation. Mina’s Fish House (James Beard winner Michael Mina) does standout seafood, Noe is the move for a romantic Italian dinner, and don’t skip the brunch buffet at La Hiki.

Does Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina have a spa?

Yes. I did the Makai Ocean Essence seaweed wrap and then stayed to enjoy the outdoor jungle lounge afterward. Champagne and dark chocolate were included. My advice: book a treatment and leave time to linger.

Is the beach swimmable at Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina?

Yes. The resort sits on one of Ko Olina’s protected lagoons, the same calm lagoon shared with Disney’s Aulani next door, so the water stays gentle and easy to wade into.
